About
Aetherfall is a 3D browser action game built with Three.js: a complete vertical-slice expedition through storm-broken sky islands. Every run follows the expedition arc — preparation, ascent, breach, and extraction.
You start on your airship deck, ride aether vents and glide across ten floating islands, destroy the storm pylons guarding the vault, and face the Choir Warden — a multi-phase colossus. Then the real run begins: 170 seconds to descend through telegraphed lightning back to your ship, with the relic weighing down your glider.
Gameplay
WASD + mouse with soft aim-assist. Space chains jump, double-jump, and held glide; Shift is an aether dash with brief i-frames. Swap between Tempest (rapid, swift) and Bulwark (heavy AoE) stances on the fly.
Abilities charge from landing hits — aggression, not cooldowns. At 60 charge, unleash chain lightning or a radial nova depending on stance. Gold shards heal and charge you. Falling off an island costs hull, not your run.
History
Aetherfall was built as the first Metaloot Original — a proving ground for the platform's cloud saves, playtime tracking, artifact inventory, and seamless sign-in. Your best score, storm shards, and the Choir Map artifact all live on your Metaloot profile.
